To Infinity And Beyond!

I watched Toy Story 3 on Wednesday with Y, Ali and V. It was COOL BEANS! The movie was so good, I think it's better than the other 2 movies. Imma try to find the plot on the internet, because it's too complicated to explain. That's why I've been putting off writing this post. Hehe..... :P

I found the plot on Wikipedia. It's really long and it practically tells the whole story but oh well. I think it's also the same plot that Y has in her blog, so sorryyyy Y! Watch the movie! It's sad in some parts. Like when Andy gives his toys to Bonnie and drives away to college. And when the toys were all holding hands when they thought they were going to be swallowed up by the giant pit of fire in the garbage dump, then the 3 toy aliens saved them by lifting them up with "The Claw". LOL, it's so funny how they love "The Claw" so much. At the end, for credits, stick around and watch the bonus videos from the movie because they're really funny, especially when one of the aliens was pretending to be Juliet in a play they were doing, and his voice was so robotic. :)

The Plot

The film opens with a Western-style action sequence, featuring Woody, Jessie and Buzz battling Hamm (Mr. Evil Dr. Pork Chop), Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head (One-Eyed Bart and Betty) and the aliens. At the climax, the sequence is revealed to be a visualization of one of Andy's many imagined adventures while he played with the toys as a child. Now 17, Andy has long outgrown the toys and is preparing to move out of the house to attend college. He decides to bring Woody with him, and packs the other toys in a trash bag to be stored in the attic (a move the toys have long prepared for). However, his mother mistakes the bag for garbage and leaves it on the curb. After the toys barely manage to escape the garbage truck, they refuse to believe Woody (who saw what happened) when he says that Andy didn't intend to throw them away, and Woody and the rest of the toys end up sneaking into a box of donations to a local daycare, Sunnyside.

Upon their arrival at Sunnyside, the toys receive a warm welcome led by Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear (a.k.a. Lotso). Other Sunnyside residents include Ken and ababy doll named Big Baby. Lotso shows them to their new home, the Caterpillar room, before returning to the Butterfly room, where Lotso, Ken (now joined by Andy's sister's Barbie) and Big Baby live. While Sunnyside's children are still outside, Woody attempts again to persuade the other toys to return to Andy's house, but Lotso has convinced them that they will be happier at Sunnyside; Woody sets off alone. After he leaves, the remaining toys soon discover that the Caterpillar room is designated for toddlers, whose rambunctious nature is upsetting to the toys.

After escaping the building, Woody is found by a girl named Bonnie, who brings him home to play with her own well-loved array of toys. Woody learns from one of them, Chuckles the Clown, that Sunnyside is a virtual prison for toys, run with an iron fist by Lotso. Chuckles, Lotso and Big Baby were formerly owned by a girl named Daisy, who loved them dearly, with Lotso being the "special one", who she always kept close to her. However, Daisy accidentally lost them while away from home, when they stopped at the roadside to play. When the trio finally made their way back to Daisy's home, Lotso found that he had been replaced, causing him to snap and become bitter and controlling.

Meanwhile, the toys at Sunnyside realize their error when they discover through Mrs. Potato Head's missing eye that Andy is looking for them. As Jessie says that they have to go home, Lotso and his men appear and the toys discover Lotso's true personality for themselves: when Buzz goes to ask Lotso to transfer them to the Butterfly room, he is captured by Ken, Big Baby and Lotso's other minions. Under Lotso's direction, they use Buzz's instruction book to reset his memory to its originally-packaged state, causing him to forget his friendships with Andy's other toys and become an officer under Lotso's control. With Buzz's help, Lotso has all of Andy's toys imprisoned on the shelves of the Caterpillar room.

Woody returns to Sunnyside to help his friends escape. After arriving, he meets Chatter Telephone, the oldest toy at Sunnyside, who informs him about Lotso's extensive security measures, including an cymbal-wielding monkey who alerts Lotso to any attempted escape. The toys manage to carry out a plan to escape the Sunnyside via the garbage chute (although their efforts to restore Buzz's former self lead to him temporarily adopting his Spanish-language mode, which makes him more concerned with wooing Jessie through seductive salsa dance). As they narrowly avoid falling into the dumpster, Lotso and his henchmen surprise them. Ken stops Lotso from harming Andy's toys, since he loves Barbie and declares it was Lotso who took control of the daycare. Woody tells the other toys about Lotso's past, convincing them of Lotso's deception and leading Big Baby to throw Lotso himself into the dumpster. However, as the group try to escape the arriving garbage truck, one of the green aliens gets caught in the dumpster lid. When Woody lifts it to free the alien, Lotso grabs him and pulls him into the dumpster with him. The others jump in to rescue Woody, but Barbie and Ken are left behind with the toys.

In the dumpster, Buzz is struck by a falling TV, which causes him to regain his memory and sets him back English mode. The truck takes the toys to a landfill, where they are, through a series of events, forced onto a conveyor belt. They manage to pass over a shredder before realizing an incinerator looms ahead. Buzz and Woody help Lotso climb a ladder where he can push a button to stop the conveyor belt, but Lotso betrays them and runs away once he is safe. As they realize they cannot escape the incinerator, the toys hold hands, ready to face their impending doom together. They are rescued at the last moment by a giant claw crane being operated by the aliens. Hamm and Slinky want revenge on Lotso, but Woody says to let him go because, having learned of Lotso's dark past, the only punishment he needs is the love he lost many years. As the other toys are saved, Lotso is found by a garbage man who claims he once had one as a child and ties the bear to the front of his garbage truck with some other old toys he had collected.

The toys make their way back to Andy's room, where Woody goes back into the "College" box and the other toys enter a box designated for the attic. Thinking he and his friends deserve better, Woody writes a message on a Post-It and sticks it to the top of the "Attic" box. Andy reads the note, which suggests he give the toys away instead of storing them. He brings the box over to Bonnie's house and asks if she will take care of them, explaining to her each toy's history and personality. At the bottom of the box, Bonnie recognizes Woody, and Andy reluctantly decides to give Woody to her as well. Andy and Bonnie play together with the toys, Andy's toys finally enjoying the final playtime with him that they've been longing for. Before Andy drives to college, he thanks the toys for all the time they spent together. Woody says, "So long, partner," and the film ends.

During the credits, Sunnyside is shown to be revolutionized under the leadership of Ken and Barbie, having been turned into a "groovy" toy paradise for all nice toys. They keep in touch with Andy's toys by slipping notes into Bonnie's backpack. Another box of toys is seen entering the daycare, including a Zurg figure (unknown if it is the one that survived the elevator in Toy Story 2 or another one). Sarge and his two other soldiers later are seen entering Sunnyside. The toys that formerly belonged to Andy adapt to a new life at Bonnie's house, and Buzz and Jessie are seen performing apasodoble to "Hay Un Amigo En Mi" (Spanish version of the song "You've Got a Friend in Me").

Before me, Y and Ali watched the movie, we were at Y's house because we were gonna sleep over later. Then we went to the mall and bought the tickets (there was a really looong line because of all the people who wanted to watch Eclipse) then we walked around the mall and eventually went to ZARA to try on dresses. I need dresses!! There are so many dances next year. So excited! We didn't end up buying anything because they were so expensive. UGH. Then while we were in the dressing room V panicked called and texted us, because she was at the movies already waiting with her fam. She was tapping her watch when we got there. Turns out she bought tickets already sooo..... BIG mix up. Oh well. :( I bought a large popcorn. :)

Afterwards, we all looked at the stores around the mall and tried on stuff (none of us bought, LOLLLZ) and V came with us this time because she had an hour before her piano lessons started. When she left, we went to the bookstore then we all went to the Starbucks next door. Mocha frappucinos with whipped cream and chocolate babies!!! So good. Then we went outside to watch the Russian Trapeze artists that were gonna trapeze over everyone's heads in the mall. The show was taking too long to start so we just left to find Y's mom because she wanted to video the show. We left a while later, to Y's house to sleepover. We stayed up for 24 hours!! Well at least I did cos that morning I woke up at 5:30 so I slept at 5:30 AM. So here's pretty much what we did that night:

1) Watched Justin Bieber and Grayson Chance videos on YouTube and obsessed over both of them. I think Y's Crazin' for Grayson!!! (credits to Ali cos she and I came up with the name) She's obsessed with his song that he wrote and composed himself and performed on the Ellen show, Broken Hearts. It's soooo GOOD! His voice is haunting and he's 12 and cute! :)

2) Played this really random game on Y's iTouch, where you ask it a question and then the answer to the question is the next song on shuffle. So weird and funny.

3) I fell asleep when Ali and Y were listening to Broken Hearts (again) early in the morning. It was like a lullaby! Then they told me to go to sleep cos I was so tired (it was my first time staying up for 24 hours, but we made it through by eating all this crap like butter cookies (but they were super good) and drinking Coke and Milo. They stayed stayed up for another hour then went to sleep. They were one hour away from 24 hours! Aww. I spent half an hour just lying on the mattress trying to sleep, because I was so hyper from the Coke. :D

4) Woke up at 10:45 a few hours later and waited for 3 hours for the other 2 to get up. I just texted S and read this book from the A-List series that was nearby on the floor.

5) When they finally woke up we went downstairs and ate a really late breakfast (at 1 PM!)

6) Went upstairs and played Tap Tap Revenge on the iTouch and we played this game on the computer where you go through a maze and try not to hit the walls and then at level 3 even of you don't hit the walls this freaky face of a woman appears on the screen. I started screaming and being hysterical and hiding behind Y and Ali because Ali tricked me cos she said it was coming at level 4. And there was no level 4!!! She did that so I would't get freaked out and not do the game. It's called Scary Maze. How appropriate. My mom let me stay until 4 but then at 3:30 my dad found out and got mad, and he texted me to come home and not extend my stay, because I'd asked the car to come at 2. So we couldn't do this even freakier game with MORE scary people called Hotel 626. You'd think it's about Stich because you know his number is 626 in the cartoon.

So yeah that's pretty much what we did. WOW this is like my longest post ever because I've been writing this for more than an hour. Suck it. :D
